Thanks for visiting my blog ... I decided to write it as there were many concerned friends and family that needed to learn about the phase of my life leading to brain surgery on February 8th, 2010. I was diagnosed with a brain tumor called a meningioma.  The tumor was a nice size ... 4 1/2 cm in diameter or about the size of a golf ball!   The surgery was declared successful by my surgeon!  You can look back on the early posts of this blog to get an idea of what was involved in the mind blowing craniotomy.  To this day I have a hard time even visualizing what they had to do to me to get that squishy mass out of my head!  When my husband tells me about a drill and the screws that put it all back together ... I just stop listening as it sounds like a horror movie!   It took me a long time to get back to thinking clearly... and that was just one part of the journey!  This blog helped me immensely!  The outpouring of love and support was incredible ... no unbelievable!  Until you have to go through something like this you cannot understand how good people really are.  They want to help in any way they can.  So for that I am filled with gratitude.  Not that I'd ever wish anything like a brain tumor on anyone but ... I have to say the way that people pull together when someone like me was in need - well it's incredibly mind blowing(no pun intended)!  So again thank you all who have followed this blog from the start and sent me emails and comments of support. 


As of now, well I just love to use this blog to show off some of my favorite photography and all my notes on things I just like to share.  Sometimes recipes just have to be shared!  My love of holistic health and finding my center balance is my journey now.  I've always striven to learn and share what has helped me through the difficult days that most definitely present themselves to all of us.  Sometimes an a-ha moment happens ... and if a post might help you in that way well then I'm glad to pay it forward!
